Mariquitas
As mariquitas são pequenos passeriformes arborícolas, de ecologia semelhante às felosas do Velho Mundo (daí a designação “warbler” em inglês), mas com cores muito mais vivas e contrastantes. Cerca de metade delas são migradoras de longa distância, nidificando na América do Norte e invernando nos trópicos. A maioria é insectívora, mas podem consumir grandes quantidades de frutos e néctar fora da época de nidificação.
